Evansville Wedding Planner
From 2013-2015, I was Director of Operations for Allie Peach, who owned AllieRuth Design, a bespoke wedding stationery line based out of Evansville. I spent my time working with brides to help make their wedding paper dreams come true. I got to skype with brides from Australia and sent beautiful gifts from Allie’s accompanying Etsy shop to clients in Italy and France. It was a great learning experience, and I'm grateful for everything I learned there. Allie and I are still close, and we collaborate on special projects for each other, like my awesome new website she designed for me! More recently, I worked with Alisha Sims to improve and systematize what I lovingly refer to as her burgeoning empire: Alisha Sims Photography, Fearlessly Feminine, Headshots by Alisha Sims Photography, and her Etsy shop: Always Choose Europe. While helping Alisha perfect her client experience, I realized that I wanted to help my own brides have an amazing client experience, too. Alisha and I are also both representatives of The Wedding Party, a local vendor collective that collaborates and promotes the work of exemplary wedding vendors in the tri-state.
A little bit about me: I love my family and friends, sweet tea, and quality time. I love learning new things and ask a million questions. The way to my heart is a decent bottle of wine and a cheese and cracker plate, but I'm always up for margaritas (with salt, please!) and chips and queso, too. I'm a night owl who is desperately learning how to be an early bird. I love fiercely and feel deeply. I value the deeper meaning of what a wedding represents: the union of two souls committing a lifetime to each other through the good times and bad.
Hi, I'm Jamie, and I am the owner and lead planner of DayLily Events in Evansville, Indiana. DayLily Events is a boutique wedding planning firm that helps clients navigate the waters of creating and coordinating a memorable, meaningful event. I know the value of a professional, experienced planner who will care about you, your wedding, and all the little details so you can focus on your significant other, your family, and your friends.
I absolutely LOVE weddings. Despite the many weddings I have been to over the years, I still get emotional whether I'm a guest or the planner. It's the little things that get me -- the laughter between best friends getting ready together, the glasses clinking after a sentimental toast, the one song that gets everyone out on the dance floor. I love it all.
I couldn’t get away from weddings if I tried (but really, why would I want to?)! I graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Fashion Merchandising. From my college years on, I was planning and coordinating weddings and events for family members and close friends.
I was originally born here in Evansville, Indiana, but became a Navy brat and moved more times than I can count (Mississippi, Florida, Alabama). You can usually find me snuggled up at home with my husband, Josh, and trying to keep up with my exhausting and oh, so adorable little girls, Lily Claire and Violet.
